Between May 18 and May 29, 2017, ten Russian artists invite you to join them on a creative journey,
which they call “The Artists’ Roads: from the East to the West”. It will take place in the very center of
Paris at the prestigious art space Orangerie du Senat. Although the artists live in different countries, all
of them will be present at the exhibit, which offers a great opportunity for the lovers of Russia’s artistic
tradition to meet some of its brightest young as well as established representatives.
The theme of "Le carnet de l'artiste en voyage" interests creators from the begining of time. It is the
artist’s attentive observation of the surrounding world enriched by personal feelings, emotions and
vibes.
An artist is always a traveler. In order to create images and replenish imagination, the artist wonders,
observes and interprets reality through the prism of the mind and soul, expressing the vision with the
help of paint, stone or any other material.
We are delighted to present ces nouveaux carnettistes to the French public. Born and raised in Russia,
they incorporate the experience of the Russian academic school that, similar to the French school of art,
was affected by the Italian, Flemish and German artistic movements. They offer their vision of the
figurative art in the beginning of the 21 st century.
The artists demonstrate the use of various techniques and materials.
In painting, it is oil, pastel and watercolor.
In graphic art, it is quill and ink.
In sculpture, it is stone, metal and papier mashe
An artist can use any material; therefore his/her abilities are unlimited. The search for an IMAGE
becomes the prime goal of an artist. The Russian artistic school is famous for creating unique IMAGES.
An artist embarks on a journey during which he/she collects the details and nuances from the
surrounding world to create an IMAGE that unifies people of various countries and cultures affecting
them on the emotional level.
In the era of globalization of the early 21 st century, CREATORS rooted in Russia’s artistic tradition and
enriched by the experience of other cultures, once again embark on a journey from the East to the West
followed by those who enjoy and admire their art.

Du 18 au 29 mai 2017 les 10 artistes Russes vous invitent à en voyage artistique «Ces Créateurs qui voyagent : de l’Est à l’Ouest» en plein cœur de Paris «Orangerie du Sénat». C’est une bonne opportunité pour les connaisseurs et admirateurs de rencontrer l’art de l’Ecole Russe moderne, contemprorain et classique.
Tous les artistes seront présents pendant toute la durée de d’exposition.
Le thème du «Carnet de l'artiste en voyage» accompagne les créateurs depuis la nuit des temps. C'est
l'observation à travers l'oeil aiguisé de l'artiste, enrichie de ses sensations personnelles, de l'atmosphère,
des odeurs et des émotions...
L'artiste est toujours un voyageur. Pour créer ses représentations et donner corps à son imagination, il est
tenu de vagabonder, d'éprouver, de méditer et, ayant fait remonter sa contemplation jusqu'au niveau de sa
conscience, d'exprimer concrètement sa vision du monde.
Aujourd'hui, ces nouveaux carnettistes, dont nous présentons les œuvres au public parisien, sont nés et ont
grandi en Russie. Immergés dans la peinture académique russe, ils sont également influencés – de même
que l'Ecole des Beaux Arts française - par les écoles italienne, flamande et allemande et, en ce début du
XXIème siècle, ils représentent une tendance bien à eux de la peinture figurative.
Ces artistes font preuve d'une excellente maîtrise de diverses techniques sur des supports variés. Pour la
peinture : huile, pastel, aquarelle. Pour le dessin : plume, encre de Chine. Pour la sculpture : pierre, métal,
papier maché. Sans oublier la photographie.
L'école russe doit son renom à un savoir faire professionnel concernant l'ensemble des matériaux, offrant
ainsi à ses tenants des posssibilités infinies et permettant à la REPRESENTATION de devenir essentielle.
La REPRESENTATION, c'est ce qui pousse l'artiste à voyager, à chercher, à s'enrichir de tous les détails, de
toutes les nuances. La REPRESENTATION, c'est la matière première de l'artiste, c'est ce qui crée un lien
entre la conscience de personnes issues de pays différents, de cultures différentes, c'est ce qui agit sur la
profondeur de leurs sentiments.
Au XXIème siècle, où l'on assiste à une mondialisation dans tous les domaines, le créateur resté fidèle à la
REPRESENTATION, nourri à la source de la grande culture russe et enrichi par la découverte d'autres
cultures, reprend le chemin allant de l'Est vers l'Ouest, entraînant à sa suite amateurs et admirateurs.

18-29 мая 2017 года 10 русских художников приглашают Вас в творческое путешествие «Пути
художника: с востока на запад», которое состоится в самом центре Парижа, в пространстве
престижной площадки «Оранжерея Сената». Несмотря на то, что все художники живут в разных
странах, они будут присутствовать на выставке. Это прекрасная возможность для ценителей и
поклонников встретиться с искусством современной Русской школы, образным и классическим.
Тема «Le carnet de l'artiste en voyage» сопровождает творцов испокон веков. Это то, что
подмечает внимательный глаз художника, обогащённый личными ощущениями, воздухом,
запахами и эмоциями…
Художник - всегда путешественник. Для создания образов и насыщения своего воображения он
вынужден странствовать, впитывая, созерцая, и переработав в сознании, выражать свое
мироощущение в материале
Сегодня, ""ces nouveaux carnettistes"", чье творчество мы представляем вниманию французской
публики, родились и выросли в России. Они впитали школу Русского академического искусства,
испытавшую, как и Французская Школа Искусств, влияния Итальянской, Фламандской, Немецкой
школ и в начале 21 века представляют свое видение фигуративного творчества.
Художники демонстрируют владение разными техниками и материалами:
живопись: масло, пастель, акварель
графика: перо, тушь
скульптура: камень, металл, папье-маше

фотография…
Художник владеет профессионально любым материалом, а значит, его возможности безграничны
и главным становится ОБРАЗ - это то, чем славится Русская школа. ОБРАЗ – вот то, что толкает
художника в путешествие, поиски его, собирание деталей, подробностей, нюансов. ОБРАЗ – это
то, что выработано художником, что объединяет сознание людей в разных странах и разных
культурах, что влияет на уровне чувств.
В 21 веке наблюдается всеобщая глобализация, и все же, Художник, оставаясь верным ОБРАЗУ,
впитав истоки великой Русской культуры и обогатив себя открытиями иных культур, снова
отправляется в путешествие с востока на запад, увлекая за собой зрителей и почитателей.
